いかのもろみ漬け、つくねとかぼちゃの煮物、4種の副菜盛り合わせとお味噌汁(Sautéed Marinated Squid, Boiled and Seasoned Pumpkin with Chicken Balls, Assorted Side Dishes, and Miso Soup))

予定通り今夜はつくねとかぼちゃの煮物にしました。副菜の盛り合わせは残り物や野菜をなんとか美味しく食べようという試みです。種類が多いとちょっとリッチな気分になりますしね♪

I made some boiled and seasoned pumpkin with chicken balls. It's popular dish, and my wife's favourite!! It was a very veggie dinner, and it's nice to have one of these Japanese dishes once in a while.

「煮物」とか「おひたし」とかって英語でどう言えばいいのでしょうね。なかなか難しいものです。今日のランチは¥305だったのでまたまたギリギリでした。初めて買ったいかのもろみ漬けは美味しかったです。ちょっと味が濃くなるかなと心配してのですが、にんにくの芽と一緒に炒めたのが良かったのですかね!

It's hard to translated some of the ways in which we cook things here in Japan. I guess there is no equivalent words in English, because they don't cook things the same way. Well, I did what I could with them. I enjoyed the dinner, but the kitchen always get messier when you make a lot of small dishes.
