食器とキッチン用品第4弾は愛用のアルツベルグの調理器具の紹介です。ドイツの食器会社で、ティーセット等は日本でもよく見かけるのですが、今回はそのアルツベルグのセラミック調理器具セットを紹介します。実は嫁さんのお母さんからの頂き物で、はるばるメキシコから来日♪『ジェネシス』と言うセットには大鍋2つに、小鍋、パイ用の30cm丸皿、とラザニア用の大皿があります。すべてコンロ、レンジ、オーブンで使用可能で、全部真っ白のシンプルなデザイン。大鍋はカレーやシチューに大活躍していますし、小鍋はすき焼きや鍋をした時に使っています。パイ用の大皿はさすがにパイを焼くには大き過ぎるので、チキンやポテトをオーブンで焼く時に使っています。ただ残念な事に長さが30cm以上あるラザニア用の大皿は家のオーブンレンジには入りきらず、鍋をした時の具材入れとしての脇役扱いです。でもおそらく一生使えるものだと思うので、大切に大切に使っていきたいと思っています。何よりシンプルなかわいいデザインに僕は一目惚れしちゃいました。

Fourth post of the Tableware and Kitchen Tools series. Last year, we got a set of ceramic cooking set called Genesis from my mother in law. It's made by a German company called Arzberg, and came all the way from Mexico in my wife's suitcase! Arzberg does not sell this lineup in Japan, so I was super excited to use them. Modern and functional in design, yet very durable. I find myself using them every excuse I get. I am sure the series is available in both North America and Europe, so if you are hunting for a set of nice pots and ovenware, Genesis is a set worth contemplating.
